Duodecim PART 3 (012) Prologus

Finally, after thinking it would not appear until the release of the full game, Dissidia FF Duodecim Prologus was released yesterday in the American PSN. For 3 dollars from a short episode, which serves as preamble to the history of Dissidia 012, an arcade mode where to meet certain objectives (achievement) and present you with items that will be passed to your file when you decide to buy complete set (out next week, on Tuesday) and give you certain benefits when playing.

What's more you give away with purchase (or I'm not sure if the "demo" is the gift) to a wizard character for the entire game, the immensely popular Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7, which will have to have in the memory stick that you will use with 012 FF Dissidia.

As for the game itself the story mode is very short. They are only 4 fights, which are the beginning of the 12th cycle, where Lightning sole control, the sexy and tough heroine of FFXIII, with Warrior of Light as its Assist. History shows that approaches it with WoL Light, Jecht and Kain, in his first moments after waking up to this new war. On his way he faced some soldiers of Chaos (including Cloud, which opens on the side of the villains) and ls show able to create relationships between them 4.

Nothing impressive, does not reveal anything special, just see the camaraderie of soldiers still unknown Cosmos fight together.

On the other hand, the Arcade mode has two difficulty modes, Normal and Hard. The first is 5 battles that end with one of the playable characters (there are several) will give you an achievement and a prize to spend your entire game when you buy it. The hard mode has 30 battles that increase the difficulty gradually. Every 5 battles is an achievement and a free prize for you! yay!

The game gives us the possibility to put subtitles in different languages, which confirms the fears of European players, the game will not be fully translated into English (jaaajaja sucks to be you!) and only the dialogs will be translated, leaving the menus, weapons and others in English ... Square Enix? loose? naaaah ...

That's about options. The "demo" is to see all changes made to the gameplay, and I must say that since the first battle feels like a completely different emotion than the previous Dissidia. Since you enter the arena, play with new characters (Kain and Lightning) is so fun and present a challenge very different from the other characters of the first Dissidia. Lightning

All in all, are excellent additions to the already rich rooster if the first game. Regarding the tweaks to gameplay, Assist system adds depth to the fight, and create long combos assist supporting you in your fun. Use at the right time and prepare to receive the benefits of Stage BRV easily.

We now have a ground, which I believe does not have many benefits, rather diria k t forget if you are on land and planned to do dash in the air, you'll be in trouble, and that happens often. The Ex Ex Core Force and give 50% of what they gave in the first Dissidia, so make your ExForm / Burst is more complicated. Critical attacks are harder to connect (which ensures longest fights! Yay!) And when they do the damage is x2, x5 not like the last version.
